Biological Resources
Our biological resources and land management group assists clients in evaluating and managing wetlands, streams, fish and wildlife habitat, endangered species, and shoreline resources. Our scientists work with project engineers, architects, and planners to resolve permitting issues and facilitate responsible, practical land management and development. Through our excellent reputation and relationships with permitting agencies, we help clients develop project alternatives and design successful mitigation.
We keep current with the latest changes in federal, state, and local permitting requirements, including preparation of Biological Assessments, wetland delineations, and federal guidance for development of mitigation alternatives. Our biologists are experts at negotiating complex permit requirements to obtain approvals and develop workable solutions to permit challenges. From the initial field investigations through permit review, our staff demonstrates a high level of accuracy, integrity, and competence, resulting in an efficient permitting process. In addition to permitting, other work types include:
- Wetland Delineations and Critical Area Studies
- Wetland Mitigation Plans
- Stream Evaluations and Fish Habitat Assessments
- Stream Restoration Designs
- Biological Assessments for Endangered Species Act Compliance
- Wildlife Habitat Assessments and Management Plans
- Wetland Mitigation Banking
- Restoration Planning
- Invasive Plant Surveys
