Northgate Corridor Rezone EIS

Seattle, Washington

The City of Seattle is examining several rezone scenarios for its Northgate area to produce affordable housing, encourage development that takes advantage of Northgate’s high level of transit service, and achieve some of the neighborhood’s urban design goals. ESA developed a range of alternatives that fit within a constrained transportation network, and provided the desired density while maintaining transitions to lower density areas surrounding the commercial core. ESA developed prototype building forms for use in a 3-dimensional model using GIS information to help visualize different height limits and other zoning regulations on future development.
