Stormwater GIS Project

Mukilteo, Washington

To meet a grant funding deadline, the City of Mukilteo needed to comply with National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Phase I permit requirements. We developed a geodatabase and a companion map folio of the City’s stormwater system and then completed hands-on training for City staff to ensure efficient application and provide a mechanism for updating their stormwater infrastructure. ESA utilized this data to help learn how to address significant stormwater quality issues facing the City and the greater Puget Sound region.

Our team is highly experienced with Trimble GPS technology, GIS mapping, AutoCAD mapping, drainage analysis, and field data collection. We developed useful maps and a GIS database of the City’s stormwater system and then completed hands-on training for City staff to ensure efficient application and continuous dataset improvements.
