One of Yosemite National Park's most visited sites, the Yosemite Falls Corridor, strikes a delicate balance between preserving and sharing the natural habitat.

ESA teamed with renowned landscape designer Lawrence Halprin to renovate and improve the popular Yosemite Falls corridor. Our experts performed natural and cultural resource assessments of the trails and facilities leading to the falls, as well as guidelines for restoration planning to aid the design process. Restoration involved dismantling artificial dams and diversions below the falls, selecting trees for removal to improve understory vegetation, and planting native grasses, trees, and shrubs. ESA participated in a series of design planning workshops and prepared environmental compliance documentation under NEPA, the National Historic Preservation Act, and the Clean Water Act.

ESA partnered with renowned landscape designer Lawrence Halprin to improve and preserve the popular Yosemite Falls corridor in Yosemite National Park in compliance with federal regulations.
