Steve Crooks Joins Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Delegation


In early November, ESA’s technical expert scrooks [at] esassoc [dot] com (Steve Crooks, PhD), was a member of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) delegation to the Climate Change Negotiations in Warsaw, Poland. He presented guidance on coastal wetlands at a special IPCC event outlining the release of the Wetlands Supplement for greenhouse gas accounting for human impacts on wetlands. En route to Poland, Steve traveled to Bonn, Germany for the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change where he briefed the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice, on the role of coastal wetlands in climate change adaptation and mitigation.
