Peter Costa, AICP Achieves Professional Transportation Planner Certification

Environmental Science Associates is pleased to announce that Peter Costa, AICP, PTP, successfully passed the Transportation Professional Certification Board's (TPCB) Professional Transportation Planner (PTP) examination.

“This certification recognizes Pete’s expertise in transportation planning,” said Crescentia Brown, ESA’s Bay Area Community Development Director. “With several accredited planners on staff, our depth of transportation planning credentials enables our team to stay at the forefront of innovative, integrated, and solution-based transportation planning.”

The PTP certification program is designed for candidates who have a wide-range of education and experience in transportation planning. Peter is now a "professional transportation planner" and an officially designated PTP Member of the TPCB and affiliated with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). The PTP certification represents a significant achievement in the transportation industry and designates Peter as a professional who has demonstrated a commitment to high standards of professionalism and proficiency of transportation planning practices.

Pete is a Senior Associate in ESA’s Bay Area Community Development Group. He provides transportation project planning and analysis for compliance with CEQA and NEPA. He’s worked on projects such as the 34th America’s Cup and J. Herman Cruise Terminal; the San Francisco Extension of Historic Streetcar Service EIS, and the Walnut Creek Broadway Plaza Long-Range Master Plan EIR. Pete is a member of the American Planning Association’s Northern California Chapter; the Urban Planning and Policy Study Association; and the Association of Environmental Professionals. He is credentialed by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
