Pete Lawson Joins ESA’s Northwest Biological Resources and Land Management Team

Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading environmental and planning firm, is pleased to announce that Pete Lawson has joined as Managing Associate in our Seattle office. Part of our growing Northwest Biological Resources and Land Management team, Pete joins a staff of 15 scientists specializing in wetland science, wildlife and fisheries biology, and landscape architecture.

A senior fisheries biologist with 13 years of experience, Pete will support a wide range of transportation, infrastructure, land use planning, energy, water resources and restoration projects for public and private sector clients throughout the Pacific Northwest.

“Our clients demand top-notch expertise in aquatic biology, restoration, fisheries, and environmental compliance,” says Margaret Clancy, Director of Northwest Biological Resources and Land Management, “Pete provides all of these services and is a well-known and respected peer. We’re excited to have him on our team.”

Pete is a WSDOT certified Senior Biological Assessment (BA) Author with more than ten years of experience in Endangered Species Act issues, including extensive expertise in the coordination and preparation of Section 7 biological evaluations (BAs/BEs). He is experienced and adept in the preparation of a wide range of local, state and national environmental documentation such as Critical Areas Studies, National and/or State Environmental Policy Act (NEPA/SEPA) documents and Habitat Conservation Plans (HCPs).
