Hispanic Chamber Honors Ken Vigil with Latino Business Award

ESA is pleased to announce that the Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber recently awarded Ken Vigil, Vice President and Portland Office Director, the Latino Business BRAVO! Award. The Hispanic Metropolitan Chamber works with all members of the community to increase the economic advancement of Latinos in Oregon and Southwest Washington. The award was presented to Ken on Thursday, September 12 at the annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration where five other community organizations and leaders were recognized.

 

Ken is a registered professional engineer in Oregon and Washington. For more than 30 years, he has dedicated his career to the restoration of rivers and wetlands and improving water quality as a successful environmental professional. Ken is a founding partner of ESA, recently acquired by Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a 350-person award-winning environmental and planning firm. Currently Ken leads ESA's Northwest Environmental Hydrology Practice.

 

Throughout his career, Ken and ESA have actively supported minority students in the successful completion of their college educations by providing scholarships and internships. A partner with the Hispanic Chamber’s annual scholarship program, this summer ESA shared knowledge and hands-on work experience by employing two Hispanic student interns.
