Dan Dameron Joins ESA as Central Valley Community Development Director

Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading California environmental science and planning firm, is pleased to announce that Dan Dameron has joined our Sacramento office as Director of our Central Valley Community Development team. Dan will work closely with ESA’s Ray Weiss, who will continue in his role as Environmental Planning Program Manager, and Harriet Lai Ross, our new Community Planning Program Manager.

Dan brings more than 25 years of experience leading community planning projects in the Central Valley/Sierra region. He has managed, prepared and implemented a variety of urban planning and design projects including General Plans, Specific Plans, development entitlements, local agency assistance, and sustainability strategies as both a private consultant and as Principal Planner for the City of Roseville. Dan’s leadership and extensive planning expertise are valued by a broad range of public sector, private development, and institutional clients.

Prior to joining ESA, Dan was the California Planning and Design Senior Group Manager for a national engineering and design consulting firm. Before that, he worked for 18 years as a Principal Planner with the City of Roseville’s Planning Department. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
