Christina Erwin Joins ESA

Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading California environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Christina Erwin has joined our Community Development team as Senior Managing Associate. Christina will be based out of our Sacramento office.

"Christina’s extensive CEQA and NEPA experience, diligent project management skills, and proven understanding of the integration of planning issues and environmental regulations reinforce our commitment to creating real, meaningful, and thoughtful plans and solutions for our clients," said Dan Dameron, Community Development Director.

Christina has 13 years of experience managing and authoring environmental documents in compliance with CEQA and NEPA for planning and development projects across California. From leading large teams of technical experts to coordinating with the lead agency and project applicants, she is committed to delivering legally defensible environmental documents and usable plans. Christina has led the research, analysis, writing, and production of numerous CEQA, NEPA, and general plan documents. An excellent communicator and collaborative partner, Christina is able to effectively distribute information with the often numerous stakeholders involved in the planning and environmental compliance processes.

Well-versed in local policy and regulations, Christina has been integral to several Central Valley efforts including the City of Sacramento 2030 General Plan Master EIR and subsequent projects in the City of Sacramento. She was a contributing author to the Delta Stewardship Council, Delta as a Place: Land Use White Paper discussing the Delta’s current land use patterns and policies, socioeconomic status, cultural and historical importance, and potential consequences to the Delta resulting from increased population growth in the Delta and increased environmental stressors such as sea level rise and levee failure. She’s managed projects in Sacramento, Yuba, Tulare, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Sutter, Merced, Placer, and Los Angeles counties.

Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in environmental policy analysis and planning from the University of California at Davis. She is a member of the Urban Land Institute, Young Leaders Group.
