Brian Boxer, AICP Promoted to Community Development Practice Leader

Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading California environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Brian Boxer, AICP has been promoted to Community Development Practice Leader. Brian will lead the firm's core business practice with more than 50 planners and technical specialists throughout the West Coast.

"Brian has been integral to some of the firm’s most challenging environmental documentation and planning projects over the past year, including the new Sacramento Entertainment and Sports Complex," said Gary Oates, ESA’s President. "As our Community Development practice leader, Brian will continue to focus our planners on integrating ESA’s depth of expertise with the need for smart, sustainable growth and development for enduring projects and living plans that proactively shape and benefit the communities where we live and work."

Brian has dedicated his career to advancing leadership in creative, sustainable solutions by integrating environmental compliance and documentation, community planning, and project development. Brian brings more than 30 years of experience guiding clients through complex state and local planning processes. He is a noted expert in the strategic design of CEQA documents to facilitate project planning and implementation. He is also an experienced and skilled facilitator of public involvement programs related to major public development and infrastructure projects.

Brian is certified planner (AICP), and a member of the American Planning Association and the Association of Environmental Professionals. He holds a Masters in Public Affairs and Urban and Regional Planning from Princeton University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
