Brian Boxer, AICP Joins ESA as Principal Associate and Vice President


Environmental Science Associates (ESA), a leading California environmental consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Brian D. Boxer, AICP has joined our Community Development practice as Principal Associate and has been named a Vice President. Brian’s dedicated his career to advancing leadership and creative, sustainable solutions for urban and environmental planning projects. He has successfully directed and managed projects involving new land development, urban redevelopment, institutional plans, and large-scale urban and regional plans and policies. He is known for strategically addressing the complex technical and political issues of urban development, sustainability, and resource allocation clearly and efficiently with a focus on technological innovation and legal defensibility.

Brian brings more than 30 years of experience guiding clients through complex state and local planning processes. He is a noted expert in the strategic design of CEQA documents to facilitate project planning and implementation. He is also an experienced and skilled facilitator of public involvement programs related to major public development and infrastructure projects.

Brian is certified planner (AICP), and a member of the American Planning Association and the Association of Environmental Professionals. He holds a Masters in Public Affairs and Urban and Regional Planning from Princeton University, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
