Marjorie Wolfe, PE, CFM joins ESA as Northwest Water Director
Marjorie Wolfe, PE, CFM has joined the firm as Director of its Northwest Water Resources Group. Marjorie will direct and manage water resources projects throughout Oregon and Washington while expanding the firm’s presence in the Northwest and Rocky Mountain regions. She will be based in the firm’s Portland office.
Bruce Mackey joins ESA as Olympia Office Director
Bruce Mackey, PhD, has joined the firm's Northwest Region as Olympia Office Director. Bruce brings over 30 years of natural resource management experience including eight years as Washington State Lands Steward for the Department of Natural Resources. As Lands Steward he developed and implemented statewide sustainable forestry policies for 2.1 million acres including a Habitat Conservation Plan for 1.6 million acres, managed over 3800 land use and commercial leases, as well as directing engineering for the agency.
ESA earns Climate Action Leader status
At the 2009 California Climate Action Registry (CCAR) conference held in San Diego April 1-3, ESA will be recognized as a Climate Action Leader. A Climate Action Leader status is granted to firms or agencies that have successfully verified their emissions inventory. ESA was recognized as the 200th Founding Reporter of The Climate Registry in 2008 and began reporting emissions for 2007. As a reporter, ESA commits to reporting its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to the Registry and the public. At the Best Firms to Work For Summit held in San Francisco September 18-19, 2008 and sponsored by ZweigWhite, the Environmental Business Journal, and CE News, ESA was awarded the number two national ranking among mid-sized environmental firms and seventh overall “2008 Best Environmental Firms to Work For.”
Teresa Vanderburg promoted to Vice President and Biological Resources and Land Management Practice Leader
Teresa Vanderburg has been promoted to vice president and practice leader. Teresa will lead ESA's growing Biological Resources and Land Management practice, with more than 55 biologists throughout the West coast, out of ESA's Seattle office. A certified Professional Wetland Scientist, she brings more than 19 years of experience in the field of natural resource management to her new position.

welcomes ESA! On September 1, 2006 Adolfson Associates
joined ESA, a national environmental firm specializing
in land use and resource planning, technical studies and
investigations, environmental impact assessment and documentation,
and environmental compliance. The valuable addition of
ESA’s expertise in air, noise, and airport planning
will be a natural complement to Adolfson’s existing
profile of services. ESA’s existing Seattle office
will consolidate with Adolfson Associates, merging local
resources. The northwest offices will be known as “ESA
Adolfson.”
