Jeff Haltiner, PhD, PEESA PWA Principal Director
A vice president and principal director of ESA PWA, ESA's environmental hydrology practice, Jeff works with clients to develop environmental solutions to flood hazards, urban runoff treatment, and integrated watershed management. Jeff and his team are dedicated to the protection, enhancement, and restoration of water dependent ecosystems.
Jeff brings almost four decades of experience in water supply, urban runoff treatment design, and river restoration, including multi-objective watershed management, hydrologic and hydrodynamic modeling, and the design of environmentally sensitive flood control and river management projects.
Jeff holds a Doctorate of Philosophy in civil engineering and a Master of Science in earth resources from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He is a licensed civil engineer in the state of California and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Society for Ecological Restoration, Society of Wetland Scientists, and the American Water Resources Association. Jeff is an adjunct professor at the University of California Berkeley.
