Jean Chen

Corporate Controller

As vice president and corporate controller, Jean’s leadership and stewardship of the firm’s financial resources have been critical as the company has grown over the past decade. She oversees all accounting activities and provides financial guidance and training for all ESA staff.

Jean has more than 20 years of financial and project cost accounting experience for multi-office professional service companies. Since joining ESA in 2003, she has touched all aspects of the firm’s financial management, including leading several system conversions and integrations. Jean leads a team focused on client service that partners with technical staff to provide timely and accurate project information to inform daily business decisions.

Jean holds a Master of Business Administration in accounting from San Francisco State University and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from the California State University, Hayward.
