Environmental Hydrology Leader

esa.hostpyramid.net Staff

As vice president and Environmental Hydrology leader, Ann directs our team of experts with skills ranging from climate change and sea level rise to hydraulic engineering to coastal and estuarine restoration. Dedicated to integrated planning and engineering solutions, Ann and her team deliver innovative and practical solutions that manage and restore natural systems in concert with physical and ecological processes.

Ann brings nearly 20 years of experience in hydraulic engineering, focused on restoration design and project management. She is adept at taking complex restoration concepts based on geomorphic studies and evaluating their engineering feasibility, estimating costs, and translating it all into constructable documents. Ann has led restoration design in a variety of ecoystems, including lagoons, wetlands, tidal marshes, rivers, and creeks. She managed the tidal marsh restoration of over 4,000 acres of former salt ponds along the Napa River and expanded tidal marsh preserves at the Martinez Regional Shoreline and Petaluma Marsh Wildlife Area. She has also led several in-the-ground designs to improve the quality of fish habitat along several major California river systems.

Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a licensed civil engineer in the state of California and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers.
