Teresa Vanderburg,
PWS | Seattle Biological Resources Director
Teresa has 18 years of experience in natural
resource management, permitting and scientific analyses. She is the Director of
Biological Resources, responsible for 16 staff scientists. Teresa
is an experience project manager and has managed technical studies
and environmental permits for several large-scale public infrastructure
projects, including the 6.3-mile Seattle Public Utilities, Tolt No.
2 Phase IV Water Supply Pipeline. She is a certified Professional
Wetland Scientist (PWS) and has reviewed or performed hundreds of
wetland evaluations, delineations and wetland mitigation projects. Teresa’s
expertise includes critical areas ordinance development and shoreline
planning for local governments in Washington. She also serves
as a scientific expert witness in condemnation hearings, trials and
other legal proceedings.
Teresa is an avid backpacker and skier. She enjoys hiking with her
family and annual ski trips to Whistler.
