Dave has over 28 years of experience in surface water and flood hazard management, particularly flood mitigation planning and project implementation. His primary focus has been on the hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of flood events, particularly in streams and rivers, and techniques to minimize flooding impacts. In recent years, his experience has focused on comprehensive flood hazard and basin planning, map modernization, hazard mitigation, and habitat restoration. He is currently serving as the co-chair of the Multi-Objective Management Committee for the Association of State Floodplain Managers.
